Day 1
Your Autumn/Winter Vacation package starts when the tour escort collects you from Glasgow Airport and you travel to the Argyll Forest Park with its beautiful Mountains, Loch´s, Glens and Woodlands established in 1935. Along the way we will be visiting Loch Lomond considered by some to be the jewel of the National Park, Luss which is a “conservation village” made famous as being the location for one of Scotland´s TV soap opera´s “Take the High Road”, Loch Long, Rest & be Thankful and into the town of Dunoon. We then make our way to our chosen hotel for Dinner, Bed and Full Scottish Breakfast.
Day 2
After breakfast travel to Inverary Castle (headquarters of Clan Campbell and home of The Duke & Duchess of Argyll) and have a tour through the old Inverary Jail. We then make our way to the ancient standing stones of Kilmartin and Kilmartin Glen, with its standing stones, burial cairns, rock art and carved rocks it is one of Scotland´s richest archeological landscapes. Return to our chosen hotel in time for the evening meal.
Day 3
After breakfast travel to the Isle of Skye via Crianlarach, Glencoe visitor centre famous for its photography and history then on to Eilean Donan Castle the most photographed castle in Scotland sitting where three Loch´s meet possibly Scotland´s most romantic Castle, Kyle of Lochalsh and across the bridge to the Isle of Skye (commonly known as the Misty Isle) to our chosen hotel.
Day 4
After breakfast we will do a full tour of the Isle of Skye, visiting Armadale castle & Gardens Broadford, Portree the main town in Skye and Dunvegan Castle to view the splendid Cuillins which show their beauty in the autumn/winter months with the ever changing landscape. We will then return to our chosen hotel in time for the evening meal.
Day 5
After breakfast we head South to Pitlochry situated on the left bank of the river Tummel, on our way we will stop at the famous Loch Ness and see the Caledonian canal that links Inverness to Fort William. After this we make our way to Pitlochry which wins the 'Town In Bloom' every year and we shall also visit the smallest distillery in Scotland, which probably has the finest single malt in Scotland. We then head to our chosen hotel for dinner. (*This evening if you like you can take in some light hearted entertainment at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre).
Day 6
After a full Scottish breakfast we make our way to Edinburgh via South Queensferry to view the magnificent Forth Railway bridge into Edinburgh where the Old town and New town have been listed since 1995 as World Heritage Sites. We will make our way to Edinburgh Castle for 1430 to see a costume presentation of how people lived and day to day running´s of the castle. After you can shop in Princes street and the Royal Mile for some retail therapy. We shall then make our way back to our chosen hotel in time for dinner.
Day 7
After breakfast we make our way to Glasgow for our final nights stay. On or way to Glasgow we will stop at Stirling Castle before heading to The Beardmore hotel in Clyde bank for our final night and the driver will ensure transfers to Glasgow airport are arranged for the next morning.
Day 8
You will be collected from your hotel in time for you flight home.
