Getting to Oban
Arrangements can be made to be collected from Glasgow International Airport and transferred to Oban Bay. Alternatively, there is an excellent (and scenic) train route from Glasgow to Oban. If driving, cars may be left in secure parking in Oban.10 Day Land & Sea.
Your party will be collected from Glasgow or Edinburgh International Airport.We will then start on your ten day tour of bonnie Scotland.
ITINERARY
| Sail the Romantic Sound of Kerrera
Breakfast at anchor in beautiful Loch Feochan Sail to Jura where red deer roam in their thousands Visit Jura Distillery Sail for the diamond shaped Island of Islay Escorted bird watching tours Try your hand at peat cutting Moor off the small isles of Scarba, Luing and Seil Fantastic birds including the elusive corncrake |
 (Saturday) Oban to Loch Feochan. Join the vessel in the historic fishing port of Oban. Once aboard the Glen Tarsan . Set sail for Loch Feochan through the Sound of Kerrera and past Barnacarry Bay. Later that day, enjoy a pre dinner drink and the Skippers briefing for the trip before settling down for the night in Loch Feochan. (Sunday) Loch Feochan to Craighouse, Jura. After breakfast set sail south along the Sound of Insh past the west coast of the isle of Seil and between the isles of Luing and Scarba then south along the eastern coast of Jura finishing for the day anchored off Craighouse with a visit to Jura Distillery. (Monday) Jura to Islay. Cruise south to the amazing island of Islay, where we stay for 3 nights and 2 days exploring the island. Miles of white sandy beaches fringed with machair, a wildflower paradise. Surging sea rollers and shimmering calm lochs. (Tuesday) IslaySpend the day and night on Islay. Golf, pony trekking, hill walking, archaeology, whisky and guided bird watching tours are available with transfer around the island by taxi.  (Wednesday) IslaySpend the day and night on Islay. (Thursday) Islay to SeilDeparting Islay we head north along the east coast of Jura to the small collection of islands, Scarba , Luing and Seil where we moor for the night. Day 7 (Friday) Seil to Oban Departing early morning we head north along the Firth of Lorne and Kerrera Sound to Oban where we say farewells and disembark in the late morning. |
