A holiday on board the St Hilda is entertaining, relaxing and exhilarating. There is plenty of time to unwind as well as help with the daily management of the boat and do some sailing and navigating. You can bring canoes and wind surfers for exploring sheltered inlets and small islands. Going ashore by tender is also fun; bring bicycles and walking gear and discover fascinating uninhabited costal areas rich in wildlife and communities full of local culture. Meals are excellent, prepared from fresh ingredients using local produce where ever possible. Everybody mucks in and helps with the meals including eating your own catch for dinner!

Our 6-night holidays leave Holy Loch Marina, near Dunoon, on a saturday. We can be flexible regarding length of trips, so please get in touch if you would like to investigate longer or shorter holidays, minimum 3 - nights.

Our cruising area is only one hour from Glasgow, yet it feels like another world. We can visit Loch Long, the Kyles of Bute, Fascinating places. Do lots of Sailing, fishing and exploring or simply sit back and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of this unique part of the west coast of Scotland.

Our classic vessel, the St Hilda, is a traditional,54 ft wooden ketch, converted to provide roomy accommodation for up to 6 guests. She is one of the smallest "Tall Ships" and has sailed in several races. Built specifically for sail training with a crew of 14, she is spacious for a yacht. Sturdy and stable, with a powerful Kelvin engine, the St Hilda is ideal for learning how to sail, navigate and for simply messing about on the water. The deck saloon is perfect for viewing the spectacular scenery, relaxing and dinning. Sleeping accommodation for guests is a roomy double cabin aft and four single berths in the forward cabin - perfect for families and groups of friends.

During Your land tour, you will be staying in quality hotels, and be provided with dinner, bed and breakfast every day, you are also provided with an eight seater people carrier, with your own personal driver/tour guide.
