A unique holiday afloat on the breathtaking sea lochs of South Argyll aboard the classic vessel the St Hilda.Welcome to St Hilda Sea Adventures. Sailing out of Holy Loch Marina in South Argyll, St Hilda offer you an exhilarating, fun boating holiday aboard the classic, ex-Tall Ship, the St Hilda, a roomy 54 ft traditional wooden ketch. Our holidays are for weekends, 3-nights and 6-nights, leaving on a Saturday or a Tuesday from Holy Loch Marina, near Dunoon, from April to October. We explore the remote, sheltered sea lochs of the Cowal Peninsula, the Crinan Canal and the Islands of Arran and Bute. The area is unspoiled and rich in wildlife on sea and on shore. You are very likely to see seals, porpoises, otters and countless birds and we can also take you to places where there are rarities to spot. Our lobster pots often reveal all sorts of crustaceans, as well as frequently providing lobster for dinner! Yet we are only an hour from Glasgow and happy to pick you up from the airport if you are arriving by air. The St Hilda has accommodation for 6 guests with onboard skipper Michael and cook Colette to ensure you have a perfect holiday. We are ideal for whole boat charter for families or groups of friends; teenagers especially love the freedom and fun of a boating holiday and learn lots of new skills. We also offer mixed guest cruises for those who want new experiences and to meet new people. A holiday with us is an unforgettable adventure for all age groups. Each day is as action packed or as relaxed as you please.Our 6-night holidays leave Holy Loch Marina, near Dunoon, on a saturday. We can be flexible regarding length of trips, so please get in touch if you would like to investigate longer or shorter holidays, minimum 3 - nights. Our cruising area is only one hour from Glasgow, yet it feels like another world. We can visit Loch Long, the Kyles of Bute, Fascinating places. Do lots of Sailing, fishing and exploring or simply sit back and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of this unique part of the west coast of Scotland. She is one of the smallest "Tall Ships" and has sailed in several races. Built specifically for sail training with a crew of 14, she is spacious for a yacht. Sturdy and stable, with a powerful Kelvin engine, the St Hilda is ideal for learning how to sail, navigate and for simply messing about on the water. The deck saloon is perfect for viewing the spectacular scenery, relaxing and dinning. Sleeping accommodation for guests is a roomy double cabin aft and four single berths in the forward cabin - perfect for families and groups of friends. Our Cruises You can also combine our sea cruises with a land tour.During Your land tour, you will be staying in quality hotels, and be provided with dinner, bed and breakfast every day, you are also provided with an eight seater people carrier, with your own personal driver/tour guide.
