9 Day Scotland Vacation package

Day 1

Collection from Glasgow Airport or Edinburgh Airport and proceed to the Loch Lomond Shores and the Bonnie Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond, and from there we visit the village of Luss, (sometimes called the village of Darkness) because of the surrounding mountains, stop here for some lunch and then carry onto the village of Arrochar and Loch Long, from there we proceed to Loch Fyne, world famous for its Oysters and shell fish, we can even stop for a tasting. We pass Loch Eck before we enter the town of Dunoon in the county of Argyll for our first night stay at our choosen Hotel For Dinner,Bed and Full Scottish Breakfast.

Day 2

Today we make our way to Inverary and the Castle (headquarters of Clan Campbell) and the home of the Duke & Duchess of Argyll, after a short stop we make our way to the fishing town of Oban, (sometimes called the capital of the Western Highlands) and if you like to eat fish this is the place to be. We also visit Oban distillery before returning to Dunoon via Kilmartin Glen and the ancient Standing Stones, arriving at our hotel in time for our evening meal.

Day 3

Today we make our way to the Isle of Skye, Stopping at Glencoe, Spean Bridge, Fort Augustus, Loch Ness, Eilean Donan Castle (The most photographed castle in the world) and then onto the Kyle of Lochalsh before crossing the bridge to the Isle of Skye, in time for Dinner and your stay at our next Hotel .

Day 4

Today we do a full tour of the Isle of Skye, visiting Armadale castle and gardens (Clan Donald Centre) and then into the main town of Portree for lunch. We then carry on to Lealt falls, Kilt Rock, Uig, Dunvegan Castle (clan Macleod) and Cuillin Mountains before returning to our hotel in time for the evening meal.

Day 5

After breakfast we proceed to the small town of Ullapool before we continue North stopping at Dunrobin Castle & Gardens, and then make our way to John o' Groats for our overnight stay and collect our ferry tickets for next days visit to the Orkney Islands. We will then arrive at our choosen hotel in time for dinner.

Day 6

After breakfast we make our way to the ferry terminal and your sail to the Orkney Islands. The boat leaves at 10:30am and when it gets to the other side a coach will be there to meet you and do a tour of all the places of interest. The ferry shall return around 06:30pm, getting us back in time for our dinner at the hotel.

Day 7

After breakfast we make our way South to Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, Cawder Castle and then into the town of Pitlochry in time for our evening meal, where we will stay in our choosen hotel.

Day 8

After breakfast we do a tour of the surrounding countryside visiting the Queens View, the small village of Fortingall, where the oldest living yew tree (5000 years old) can be viewed and is also the birthplace of the Roman Leader Pontious Pilot. We can then carry on to the town of Dunkeld, once called the Religious Capital of Scotland, and then onto the Caithness Glass Centre. We shall then return to the hotel in time for dinner.

Day 9

After breakfast we make our way to the Historical town of St Andrew's, first stopping at Falkland Palace, made famous by Mary Queen of Scots as one of her hiding places from the dreaded English. We then carry on to the home of Golf and perhaps some retail therapy. We can come back to the hotel via the Forth Railway bridge in time for our evening meal.

Day 10

After breakfast the hotel can provide transport to the airport of your choice.

Please note that the Glasgow and Edinburgh Hotels which we prefer to use can provide transport to your choice of airport.

Please also note that all of our accomodation is rated at 3 stars and above and include Dinner, Bed and Full Scottish Breakfast every day.

You will be taken on your Tour of Bonnie Scotland by your Driver/Tour Guide in a luxury People Carrier.

On your tour of Scotland you may experience some Scottish Food.
