Booking Conditions

Payment

A deposit of $250.00US Dollars per person is payable upon booking your tour. Final balance is due 45 days prior to your tour commencing (this date will be confirmed via your deposit / balance e-mail). Deposits are fully refundable up to 45 days prior to your tour commencing at which point your final balance is due. Bookings made within 45 days of a tour commencing will be expected to pay the full balance due upon booking. Overdue final balance payments may result in your reservation being cancelled.

Financial Protection

In accordance with the EC Directive on Package Travel all tour monies are held in trust until such time as the tour has been completed.

Cancellation

Should you wish to cancel your tour after the deposit has been paid, you should write to us as the date of the cancellation is the date on which we receive your letter, fax or e-mail. Tours cancelled between the 45 to 30 days prior to the tour period will result in the deposit being retained. Tours cancelled within the 30 day prior to the tour period will be subject to cancellation charges at 50% of the full fee. We reserve the right to re-book your seat on the tour if final payment is not received prior to the due date. Should we have to cancel your tour due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, will refund all monies paid to us.

Alternatives/Cancellations

While the Company shall do everything reasonably possible to provide your tour itinerary and details as planned, the Company reserves the right to alter itineraries, transport or accommodation for whatever reason. In the case of hotel accommodation a similar standard of alternative accommodation will be obtained wherever possible.

The Company reserves the right to refuse to carry any person whose conduct or manner is likely to cause offence or upset to other passengers. In such cases full cancellation charges apply and the Company shall have no further liability to that passenger.

Insurance

We strongly advise that you take out insurance for the duration of your trip in respect of cancellation and curtailment, injury, death, lost baggage and money, liability, medical expenses and repatriation.

Minimum number of participants

Four clients is the minimum number for our group tours to go ahead (unless exclusive tour package agreed). In the event of us having to cancel through insufficient numbers, we will let you know at least 4 weeks in advance and will offer you an alternative tour. If the alternative does not suit you, we will return in full all money paid. There is no minimum number for an exclusive tour itinerary. Our standard tour is a maximum of 8 clients to a vehicle in order to keep the tour personal however we do take tours of a larger number by varying the vehicle(s) and providing additional driver/guides.

Itinerary Changes

All itineraries sent to clients prior to the tour commencing will be proposed. We reserve the right to alter routes due to the variable weather conditions that can be experienced in Scotland. Hotel details will not be given until the full final balance in paid.
