Day 1

Loch Lomond & Glencoe


 Day 1 is a fabulous introduction to the Scottish landscape, exploring the mountains, glens and lochs of Scotland’s first National Park and the picturesque village of Luss to take in the splendid scenery on offer. Travelling west we head for the lochside village of Inveraray (Scotland’s first planned town). After lunch we tour through the stunning west coast scenery to the town of Oban known locally as the “Gateway to the Isles”. Overnight Oban.

Day 2

Road to the Isles


 Day 2 begins with a look at the Glencoe before we head west on the “Road to the Isles” providing wonderful views across the Sound of Arisaig to the Small Isles. Our journey follows in the footsteps of Bonnie Prince Charlie and at Glenfinnan we’ll see where Charlie raised the Royal Standard which marked the beginning of the ’45 rebellion. Later, we tour through to the fishing village of Mallaig and cross “Over the Sea to Skye”. Overnight nr Skye

Day 3

Isle of Skye


 Day 3 is a magical tour of the Isle of Skye as we cross over the Skye bridge, passing through Broadford and the Cuillin Mountains to the main settlement on the Island, Portree, with colourful houses and traditional harbour. Later, we head north to admire the scenery and views at the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock Falls, and the unique landscape of the Quiraing. This will be a day to remember. Overnight nr Skye

Day 4

Eilean Donan Castle & Loch Ness


 Day 4 begins with a spectacular visit to iconic Eilean Donan Castle before travelling through Glen Shiel to the charming village of Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness. We’ll stop for lunch here with a chance to look around before moving on to travel the length of the loch. The afternoon is spent visiting the Single Malt Whisky Distillery at Glen Ord, situated on the edge of the Black Isle, just west of Inverness. Overnight nr Inverness.

Day 5

Culloden & Cairngorms National Park


 Day 5 we enjoy a morning visit to Culloden Battlefield which will provide a lasting image of Bonnie Prince Charlie and his Jacobite Army. We’ll visit Inverness, "Capital of the Highlands", for lunch and a look around before we tour south to explore the Cairngorms National Park, visiting Carrbridge on the way, with the option of a walk amongst rare Caledonian Pines. We end the day in the Victorian tourist town of Pitlochry. Overnight Pitlochry

Day 6

Highland Perthshire & Stirling Castle


 Day 6 we enjoy a leisurely morning with some free time in the Victorian town of Pitlochry before we travel to the quaint highland village of Dunkeld with its ancient riverside Cathedral. The journey south takes us to Stirling and after a delicious lunch we head for Stirling Castle; the favoured residence of Scotland’s Kings and Queens, for a full tour to take in the castles' long and turbulent history. Overnight Stirling.

Day 7

Rosslyn Chapel & Edinburgh


 Day 7 we travel east to Edinburgh and begin with a visit to 15th century Rosslyn Chapel made famous by Dan Brown's book The Da Vinci Code. Later, we head for Edinburgh Castle for a visit and enjoy a walk down the Royal Mile to take in its charming medieval architecture and the opportunity to do some last minute speciality shopping.
