Braemar Highland Gathering
There have been Gatherings of one sort or another at Braemar for over 900 years. Queen Victoria was very fond of the Gathering, first attending it in 1848, and today The Queen still comes to Braemar regularly and is hailed as the event's chieftain.

Braemar Highland Gathering

Every Highland Gathering is a memorable occasion and the 2015 Braemar Gathering will be no exception.

International athletes will be among those taking part in the "heavy" and "track" events. Pipers and dancers will be of the usual high standard while teams from H.M. Forces will compete in the InterServices Unit Tug of War Championship and in the Services Medley Relay Race. A Hill Race will again be run up Morrone and Scottish Pipe Bands will be to the fore with the customary Massed Pipe Bands appearing.

The Gathering, always held on the first Saturday in September, is world famous for its friendship and hospitality so contact us early to avoid disappointment.

A perfect holiday thanks to the expertise and flexibility of our driver/guide John who took us to the unknown nooks and niches of this wonderful country and gave us the bonus of his knowledge about history and landscapes. Every day was a discovery of new fantastic vistas, meeting friendly people and enjoying delicious meals. Thanks BST, we will surely be back. ”
