Explore Scotland's stunning highland landscape, island scenery and ancient heritage over 6 days. Begin your exploration through the heart of Scotland as we explore Scotland's first National Park, beautiful Loch Lomond and enchanting Glencoe. Enjoy the journey along the 'Road to the Isles' to the Isle of Skye, taking in Loch Ness, Eilean Donan Castle, Culloden Battlefield, Pitlochry, Rosslyn Chapel and finally Edinburgh Old Town.

Day 1

Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park

Day 1 is a fabulous introduction to the Scottish landscape, exploring Scotland’s first National Park and the ‘bonnie banks’ of Loch Lomond. Later we visit the loch-side village of Inveraray with a visit to its famous Castle, home of the Duke and Duchess of Argyll, and then tour through beautiful Glencoe steeped in history with dramatic scenery. Day 2

Road to the Isles

Day 2 takes us west on the spectacular “Road to the Isles” providing wonderful views across the Sound of Arisaig to the Small Isles of Eigg and Rhum. Our journey takes us past Neptune’s Staircase on our way to the fishing village of Mallaig and the ferry “Over the Sea to Skye”. Overnight nr Skye

Day 3

Isle of Skye

Day 3 is a tour of the Isle of Skye, passing through Broadford and the Cuillin Mountains and on to the main settlement on the Island; Portree, with its colourful harbour front and interesting shops. Heading north we take in the Old Man of Storr and Kilt Rock Falls with plenty of other options a possibility. This will most definitely be a day to remember. Overnight Skye area.

Day 4

Eilean Donan, Loch Ness & Culloden

Day 4 begins with a visit to iconic Eilean Donan Castle before travelling through Glen Shiel to the charming village of Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness - keep a look out for Nessie! Later, we head for Culloden Battlefield site of 1745 which will provide a lasting image of heroic Bonnie Prince Charlie and his Jacobite Army. Overnight nr Inverness.

Day 5

Central Highlands

Day 5 explores the Cairngorms National Park with towering mountain ranges and large tracts of Caledonian Pine Forest. Heading south we tour through Carrbridge before we take in the popular Victorian tourist town of Pitlochry made popular by Queen Victoria who visited the area in 1842. We head for the whisky distillery for an interesting tour and tasting of the “Uisge Beatha”. Overnight Pitlochry.

Day 6

Perthshire & Rosslyn Chapel

Day 6 we enjoy the highland village of Dunkeld, ‘Fort of the Caledonians’ before we move on to view the famous Forth Rail Bridge and visit Rosslyn Chapel made famous by Dan Brown's book ‘The Da Vinci Code’. Later we head for Edinburgh and enjoy free time in the Royal Mile with its charming medieval architecture and the opportunity to do some speciality shopping
