Day 1

Loch Lomond, Inveraray & Glencoe

A fabulous introduction to the Scottish landscape, exploring the mountains, glens and lochs of Scotland’s first National Park and the beautiful lochside village of Inveraray with its famous castle. The journey north takes us through the stunning scenery of Glencoe. Overnight Glencoe

Day 2

Road to the Isles

Day 2 takes us west on the spectacular “Road to the Isles” providing wonderful views across the Sound of Arisaig to the Small Isles of Eigg and Rhum. Our journey takes us past Neptune’s Staircase on our way to take the ferry “Over the Sea to Skye”. Overnight nr Skye

Day 3

Isle of Skye

Day 3 is a full tour of the Isle of Skye, passing the famous Cuillin Mountains and through Broadford to the main settlement on the Island; Portree. Heading north we take in Uig, the Old Man of Storr and Kilt Rock Falls with Dunvegan Castle and other options a possibility. Overnight nr Skye

Day 4

Loch Ness & Eilean Donan Castle

Day 4 begins with a visit to Eilean Donan Castle before travelling through beautiful Glenshiel to the village of Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness. Later, we visit the Whisky Distillery for a much-needed dram and a tour before heading into the 'Capital of the Highlands'. Overnight Inverness

Day 5

Culloden & Cairngorms National Park

Day 5 begins with a visit to Culloden Battlefield, the site of the last battle to be fought on Scottish soil. Later, we explore the Cairngorms National Park with towering mountain ranges and large tracts of Caledonian Pine Forest. Heading south we tour through Carrbridge and before stopping to visit the Highland Folk Museum to get a flavour of how Highland people lived and worked. Overnight Pitlochry

Day 6

Highland Perthshire & Stirling Castle

We enjoy a relaxing morning exploring highland Perthshire before travelling to the Whisky Distillery for some much-needed whisky tasting. Stirling is our next stop with a tour of Stirling Castle to take in the castle's long and turbulent history. Overnight Stirling

Day 7

Edinburgh & Rosslyn Chapel

Day 7 we head east to view the famous Forth Rail Bridge and then visit Rosslyn Chapel made famous by Dan Brown's book ‘The Da Vinci Code’. Later we visit Edinburgh and enjoy a walk down the Royal Mile with its charming medieval architecture and the opportunity to do some speciality shopping.
