Neilly

Me in three - Outgoing | Conscientious | Entertaining
My favourite place in Scotland - The Italian Chapel, Orkney
My Scottish hero - Robert Burns

I was born in Glasgow but moved to the seaside town of Dunoon on Scotland’s west coast at the age of four.  It’s such a beautiful place that I have lived and worked in this region ever since.  I've been fortunate enough to see Scotland through various roles including working with the military and perhaps my most challenging but extremely rewarding job role involved working with children with special needs.

My varied interests and hobbies include golf (well, we Scots did invent the game), hiking, art, and attending live music concerts.  Not many people can say they have seen Scotland from under the water and being a keen scuba diver has allowed be to do just that.  I’ve always enjoyed diving, having dived most of Scotland’s coast from Scapa Flow in Orkney, down to the Solway Firth in the Scottish Borders.

I love the history and culture of Scotland.  With such a vast and diverse history you never stop learning, and guiding with Best Scottish Tours gives me the opportunity to share my knowledge with others.  Meeting and spending time with new people is one of the highlights of my job and I always work hard to ensure that they are having a relaxing, interesting and fun vacation.

"If you're looking to discover this beautiful country, its history, and its people - search no further. You've found the best. We booked the 7 Day Best of Scotland Tour. From the moment our legendary tour guide, Neilly, picked us up in Edinburgh, I knew we were in good hands! Neilly was friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, professional, and committed to ensuring that we saw and did everything we wanted. He made Scotland shine for us. Throughout our week, he customized our tour to suit our interests. We not only saw the sights, we met the locals - including a few sheep and some friendly Highland cows. At Culloden, Neilly made history come alive. Our accommodations and meals were excellent, too. Best Scottish Tours truly lives up to its name."Rebecca Killion
