Your adventure begins in the historic village of Culross before you head into the Highlands, passing through Inverness on your way to the enchanting Isle of Skye. After a comprehensive tour of the island, enjoy a ride on the traditional Jacobite Steam Train through the stunning west coast scenery. The trip concludes amid the dramatic peaks of Glencoe and the serene beauty of Loch Lomond—an unforgettable finale to a remarkable Scottish experience.

Day 1

Midhope Castle, Culross & The Kelpies

We head out to view the famous Forth Rail Bridge before visiting Midhope Castle and the famous Kelpies. After lunch we head on to the rustic village of Culross in Fife and visit the impressive Culross Palace. Finishing our day with a visit to the National Wallace Monument commemorating Scotland's great hero William Wallace – the panoramic views from the top are stunning and are well worth the climb. Overnight Stirling.

Day 2

Stirling, Perthshire & Blair Castle

This morning we start our day at Stirling Castle for a full tour to take in the castle's long and turbulent history before we make our way to the town of Dunkeld for a look around and some lunch. This afternoon we visit Blair Castle. Unlike any other in Scotland, the castle covers events such as Mary Queen of Scots' visit, the Civil War, the Jacobite cause, and the destruction of Culloden after Bonnie Prince Charlie's personal stay there. Overnight Inverness.

Day 3

Capital of the Highlands

This morning allows for free time in the beautiful city of Inverness, "Capital of the Highlands”. After a walk and some shopping, we'll be exploring the historic battlefield at Culloden on foot, where you will learn more about the fate of the Jacobites who fought here in 1746. This afternoon is spent having some fun as we make our way to the whisky distillery for an interesting tour and tasting. Overnight in Inverness.

Day 4

Loch Ness & Eilean Donan Castle

Enjoy a relaxing journey to the Isle of Skye via Loch Ness, where we will stop at the charming village of Fort Augustus on the southern shores. After lunch we head through Glenshiel, admiring this stunning landscape. The scenery changes as we near the rugged west coast, and we will spend the afternoon visiting iconic Eilean Donan Castle, long held by the Mackenzies of Kintail. Overnight nr Skye.

Day 5

Isle of Skye

Explore the Isle of Skye, also called ‘The Misty Isle’. We pass through Broadford town and past the rugged Cuillin Mountains, which are a prominent feature. A stop in the main settlement, Portree, with colourful houses and a traditional harbour, gives a chance to shop, photograph the scenery, and enjoy some lunch. Later, we head north to admire the spectacular scenery and views at the Old Man of Storr and Kilt Rock Falls. Overnight nr Skye.

Day 6

Jacobite Steam Train

After breakfast, we make our way to the ferry port and then back to the mainland by ferry, arriving in the small fishing village of Mallaig. After a look around the village, step aboard the Jacobite Steam Train, now famous as the Harry Potter “Hogwarts Express”. You’ll get tremendous views of the countryside as you trundle along this part of the West Highland Rail Line that was built to help open up this remote part of the Scottish coast. Overnight Fort William.

Day 7

Glencoe & Loch Lomond

The journey south takes us through the stunning highland scenery to the mountains of Glencoe to the beautiful Lochside town of Inveraray, where you’ll enjoy a visit to the castle and gardens here. We will then make our way through the fabulous Scottish landscape, exploring the mountains, glens and lochs of Scotland’s first National Park and the picturesque village of Luss as we make our way back to Edinburgh, where we say our goodbyes.
