My favourite place in Scotland - Glencoe
My Scottish hero - Sir William Wallace

Born in the Town of Lanark, as was William Wallace, I was brought up in the nearby mining village of Forth. Before Best Scottish Tours, I worked in the Scottish Police Service where I served in various areas and functions for 30 years.  During this time, I married my wife and have three children; two daughters and a son, all of whom I am very proud of.  Through my service with the Police, I relocated to Argyll on Scotland's west coast and we immediately fell in love with the area.

My interests are varied.  I have been an avid yachtsman for the past 40 years or so, starting off in small sailing dinghies and graduating to my current yacht, "Worthy Friend".  During this memorable time I have raced and cruised all over Britain and Ireland although my favourite area has to be the west coast of Scotland. Walking/hiking and nature are also favourites of mine and living in Scotland means that there are plenty of mighty mountains to conquer and scenic forest paths and coastal walks to wander.

What people say...
"The best tour we have ever taken - we opted for this tour company because the tours were no more than 8 people (we lucked out with just four of us). We could not have asked for a better tour guide than Colin. Exceptional service and outstanding accommodations and food. We were definitely wined and dined. While the tour was quick, we saw everything and could not have asked for more. The weather was a mix of moody, misty mountains and rain and sunshine. We visited a lot of castles, a distillery, the Heather Gem factory, the steam train ride, a wonderful pub and more. Colin was an exceptional tour guide. Would highly recommend Best Scottish Tours to anyone."John & Anita Morrison - Sydney, Canada
