Terms & Conditions - Big Celtic Adventure


The following booking conditions, together with the information set out on the relevant Tour page of the Best Scottish Tours website will form the contract between you and us for your holiday with us.

In this contract a reference to "you" and "your" include the lead-named person on the confirmation invoice (who must be at least 18 years old at the time of booking) and all persons on whose behalf a booking is made.

We are covered by ABTOT (Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited), providing financial protection and peace of mind for our customers.


The Big Celtic Adventure is a collaboration between Best Scottish Tours and Vagabond Tours of Ireland, designed for travellers who want to experience both Scotland and Ireland as part of their holiday.

Guests who make eligible bookings with both companies can receive a 5% discount on each qualifying tour.

Eligibility

To qualify for The Big Celtic Adventure offer:

  • Bookings must be made directly with the relevant tour company. Best Scottish Tours bookings must be made directly with Best Scottish Tours, and Vagabond Tours of Ireland bookings must be made directly with Vagabond Tours of Ireland.
  • Any qualifying Best Scottish Tours tour and any Vagabond or Driftwood tour are eligible.
  • Both bookings must be made on or after 31st August 2026.
  • Both tours must depart in 2027 or later.
  • The second tour must be booked within 14 days of the date the first booking was made.
  • The two tours must depart within 90 days of each other.
  • The same guest must be booked to travel with both companies.
  • A booking is considered confirmed once the required deposit has been paid.
  • The 5% discount will be applied once both qualifying bookings have been confirmed.
  • If either qualifying tour is subsequently cancelled, the discount will no longer apply. Best Scottish Tours and Vagabond Tours of Ireland reserve the right to remove the discount or recover its value where appropriate.
  • The discount cannot be used in conjunction with Flash Sale promotions.

The tours may be taken in either order.

Bookings made through travel agents or other third parties are not eligible for this offer.

How the Offer Works

When making the second booking, guests should provide the second tour company with the booking reference supplied by the first company.

Best Scottish Tours and Vagabond Tours of Ireland will verify the two bookings to confirm that the eligibility requirements have been met.

Once both qualifying bookings have been confirmed, each company will apply a 5% discount to its own qualifying tour.

If either qualifying booking is subsequently cancelled, the discount may be removed or its value recovered in accordance with the booking terms and conditions of the relevant tour company.

Multiple Tours & Group Bookings

The offer applies to each eligible guest.

If a guest books more than one qualifying tour with either company, the 5% discount may be applied to all qualifying tours, provided that all relevant bookings meet the eligibility criteria.

If one or more guests cancel from a group booking, the remaining guests may still qualify for the offer, provided they continue to have eligible bookings with both companies.

Where only some guests within a group are travelling with both Best Scottish Tours and Vagabond Tours of Ireland, the 5% discount will apply only to those eligible guests.

Cancellations

If either qualifying tour is cancelled by the guest, the 5% discount will no longer apply.

If the discount has already been applied, Best Scottish Tours and Vagabond Tours of Ireland reserve the right to remove the discount or recover its value in accordance with their respective booking terms and conditions.

If, in the unlikely event, a qualifying tour is cancelled by Best Scottish Tours or Vagabond Tours of Ireland, the discount will be honoured on a suitable alternative tour accepted by the guest, subject to availability and the applicable booking terms.

The standard booking, amendment and cancellation terms and conditions of the company operating each tour will continue to apply.

What Is Included

The 5% discount applies to the qualifying tour price only.

The discount does not apply to:

  • Flights
  • Ferries
  • Transfers
  • Travel insurance
  • Additional accommodation
  • Optional activities
  • Any other extras or services not included in the qualifying tour price

Guests are responsible for arranging and paying for their own travel between Scotland and Ireland.

Flights, ferries, transfers and any other travel arrangements made independently by the guest do not form part of the Best Scottish Tours or Vagabond Tours of Ireland tour booking.

Neither Best Scottish Tours nor Vagabond Tours of Ireland is responsible for delays, cancellations, missed connections or other disruption affecting independently arranged travel, or for any resulting impact on a guest's tour, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

Guests should allow sufficient time between travel connections and tour departure times and are strongly advised to arrange appropriate travel insurance.

Separate Bookings

Best Scottish Tours and Vagabond Tours of Ireland are separate businesses.

Each company is independently responsible for its own:

  • Tour enquiries and advice
  • Bookings and payments
  • Tours and services
  • Booking terms and conditions
  • Changes, cancellations and refunds

Neither company can make, amend or manage a booking on behalf of the other.

Sharing Booking Information

To verify eligibility for The Big Celtic Adventure offer, Best Scottish Tours and Vagabond Tours of Ireland may share limited booking information where necessary.

This may include:

  • Guest name
  • Email address
  • Booking reference
  • Travel dates
  • Payment status
  • Booking status

This information will be used solely for the purpose of administering and verifying the promotion and will be handled in accordance with the respective privacy policies of Best Scottish Tours and Vagabond Tours of Ireland.

Changes or Withdrawal of the Offer

The Big Celtic Adventure is an ongoing promotional offer and may be amended or withdrawn by either Best Scottish Tours or Vagabond Tours of Ireland at any time.

Bookings that have qualified for the offer before the promotion ends will continue to be honoured, provided they continue to meet all applicable eligibility criteria.

General

These promotional terms apply in addition to the standard booking terms and conditions of Best Scottish Tours and Vagabond Tours of Ireland.

In the event of any conflict between these promotional terms and the standard booking terms and conditions, the standard booking terms and conditions of the company responsible for the relevant tour will apply, unless otherwise required by law.

Nothing in these promotional terms affects your statutory rights.
