Get a taste of Scotland's stunning highland landscape, island scenery and ancient heritage over 5 exhilarating days. Begin your exploration taking in Loch Lomond before enjoying the fine views on a 2 hour hike above the castle at Inveraray. Visit enchanting Glencoe and step aboard the Jacobite Steam Train that steams through stunning west coast scenery to the Isle of Skye. Following a full Skye island tour, we tour east through the heart of Scotland exploring Scotland's first National Park and Loch Ness, Pitlochry and Highland Perthshire. Tour ends in Edinburgh.

Today is a fabulous introduction to the Scottish landscape, exploring the mountains and glens of Scotland’s first National Park and the picturesque village of Luss. Heading west, we visit the beautiful loch-side village of Inveraray to enjoy a 2hour return hike to Dun na Cuaiche hill with amazing views over Loch Fyne and picturesque castle. Traveling north takes us through the stunning scenery of Glencoe. Overnight Fort William.
Aftre breakfast, step aboard the Jacobite steam train, now famous as the Harry Potter Hogwarts Express, which forms part of the West Highland Railway intended to help open up this remote part of the Scottish coast. The train journey provides wonderful views across the Sound of Arisaig to the Small Isles of Eigg and Rhum. After lunch in Mallaig we take the ferry “Over the Sea to Skye”. Overnight Skye area.
Today is a tour of the Isle of Skye, passing through Broadford and the Cuillin Mountains to the main settlement on the Island, Portree, with colourful houses and traditional harbour. Later, we head north to admire the scenery and views at the Old Man of Storr and Kilt Rock Falls. Enjoy approx. 1.5hours hiking the most famous walk on the Isle of Skye. Overnight Skye area.
This morning begins with a visit to iconic Eilean Donan Castle before travelling through Glen Shiel to the charming village of Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness - keep a look out for Nessie! Later we travel east to spend the afternoon in the Creag Meagaidh National Nature Reserve, where we can have a short walk to enjoy its unique combination of woodland and open moorland. Overnight Dunkeld.
Enjoy some free time in the Victorian town of Pitlochry this morning before we tour south via Dunkeld with its ancient riverside Cathedral. After lunch we head for Stirling Castle; favoured residence of Scotland’s Kings and Queens, for a full tour to take in the castles' long and turbulent history before travelling through to Edinburgh for the opportunity to do some last-minute shopping on the Royal Mile. Tour ends in Edinburgh.
