Next, we tour through to Loch Lomond for lunch on the shores of Balmaha before enjoying a scenic hike at Conic Hill for fine views over the loch. Regrouping after the walk, we tour to the little village of Luss on the west shores of Loch Lomond for look around this picturesque place with small historic church, quaint houses and shore front. Overnight Loch Lomond.

Day 2

Inveraray, Dun na Cuaiche & Glen Coe

This morning we travel over the ‘Rest and be Thankful’ mountain pass to Inveraray town. Enjoy a 2hr hike at Dun na Cuaiche hill for a view over Inveraray Castle and Loch Fyne before having lunch in the town. We now travel to perhaps the most dramatic of all Scottish glens, Glen Coe, for an afternoon hike in the area. For keen walkers, this is a true Mecca. Given the time available, our suggestion would be Signal Rock and An Torr (Distance: 2.5km / 1.5 miles, Time: 1 - 1.5 hours). Overnight Fort William.

Day 3

Road to the Isles & Fairy Pools

Today we take the 11am ferry crossing to Skye and make the most of the time available to enjoy the island. On the way, we pause briefly to view the magnificent 21-arch viaduct that staddles the glen. Crossing the ‘Sea of the Hebrides’ we arrive in Sleat on Skye and travel north to Portree town with its colourful harbour front for lunch and a look around. When we are ready, we will travel across the moors for an afternoon walk at the Fairy Pools at the foot of the Cuillin mountain range. Overnight Skye.

Day 4

Isle of Skye

Isle of Skye tour. Today will be packed full of the best sights and walks on the island, pausing for a well-deserved lunch stop in a cracking location. We head north for the Trotternish peninsula for a hike to the Old Man of Storr (1hr 30mins). Next, admire the views at Lealt Falls and Kilt Rock Falls before taking in the unusual landscape of the Quiraing. We stop for lunch in Uig bay and then visit nearby Fairy Glen on our way to take an afternoon walk to Brothers Point. Wet weather options available if necessary. Overnight Skye.

Day 5

Eilean Donan Castle & Loch Ness

After breakfast, we tour south to visit Eilean Donan Castle sitting where three lochs meet. Next, we travel east through Glen Shiel to Loch Ness. After viewing the river at Invermoriston, we drive along the shores of Loch Ness to the village of Fort Augustus for a look around and a lunch stop. When we are ready, we will venture east towards the Cairngorms National Park and take an afternoon walk at the Nature Reserve near Loch Laggan. The onward journey takes us across heather-clad moors to the town of Pitlochry. Overnight Pitlochry.

Day 6

Perthshire

This morning allows time to explore the Victorian town of Pitlochry before exploring Highland Perthshire further when we drive the short distance to take in the “Queens View” viewpoint.
