8 Day Mull, Skye & Highlands Tour

An exhilerating 8 day exploration of some of the most dramatic and beautiful scenery in Scotland. Visit and experience the fabulous scenery of the rugged Isle of Mull and the enchanting Isle of Skye, explore charming traditional communities such as Inveraray, Portree, Pitlochry and Fort Augustus on Loch Ness, and tour the iconic places of Eilean Donan Castle and Stirling Castle.

Day 1

Loch Lomond, Inveraray & Oban


Day 1 is a fabulous introduction to the Scottish landscape, exploring Scotland’s first National Park and beautiful Loch Lomond, the wonderful lochside village of Inveraray and its famous Castle, then on to Oban "Gateway to the Isles" for some free time in the town. Overnight Oban

Day 2

Isle of Mull


Day 2 begins with a ferry crossing to the rugged Isle of Mull. We tour the north of the island with its stunning mountain scenery and seascapes. We visit the town of Tobermory with its wonderful frontage of painted houses and interesting shops and walk the white sand beach at Calgary Bay. Overnight Mull

Day 3

Isle of Mull & Glencoe


Day 3 We tour the south of the rugged Isle of Mull and learn of the fascinating clan history when we visit the home of one of Scotland’s oldest clans at Duart Castle. Later we travel back to the mainland to view the iconic Glencoe landscape. Overnight Glencoe

Day 4

Road to the Isles


Day 4 takes us west on the spectacular ‘Road to the Isles’ providing wonderful views across the Sound of Arisaig to the Small Isles of Eigg and Rhum. We stop at Glenfinnan to take in the views and learn of ‘Bonnie Prince Charlie’ and his Jacobite army. From Mallaig we take the ferry over to Skye. Overnight nr. Skye

Day 5

Isle of Skye


Day 5 is a tour of the magical Island of Skye, passing the famous Cuillin Mountains and the town of Broadford to the Island capital, Portree. Heading north we take in the fabulous scenery and seascapes with Dunvegan Castle and other options a possibility. Overnight nr. Skye

Day 6

Eilean Donan Castle & Central Highlands


Day 6 begins with a visit to iconic Eilean Donan Castle before travelling through Glen Shiel to the charming village of Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness - keep a look out for Nessie! We travel through the central Highlands to Pitlochry, made popular by Queen Victoria. Overnight Pitlochry

Day 7

Highland Perthshire & Stirling Castle


Day 7 allows for a relaxing pace as we visit the highland village of Dunkeld before we tour south to Stirling Castle for a full tour to take in the castle's long and turbulent history. Later we visit Doune Castle which features in Monty Python and Outlander series. Overnight Stirling

Day 8

Edinburgh & Rosslyn Chapel


Day 8 we enjoy a morning visit to the unique Falkirk Wheel, the only one of its kind in the world before a leisurely visit to 15th century Rosslyn Chapel, made famous by Dan Brown's book The Da Vinci Code. Later, enjoy some free time in Edinburgh’s Royal Mile with its charming medieval architecture.
